JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Pastry Cook
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Apollo Bay VIC 3233
Our client is seeking an experienced full time Pastry Cook to join their Bakery located in Apollo Bay. Your role will be to ensure the daily production schedule is completed and baked to a high standard. You will also assist Management in planning and development in all aspects of the Bakehouse, including cake/pastry development, including costings.
Tasks required include:
- Daily baking of cake/sweet pastry in line with daily production schedule
- Ensuring daily production is carried out efficiently
- Follow recipes and ensure consistency with each product
- Develop new products when required
- Work with Management on maintaining production schedules, ordering practices and costings for inventory
- Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Patisserie including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Patisserie
- Diploma of Hospitality Management would also be highly regarded
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Have a commitment to quality, consistency and presentation.
